Thursday 20th March – Riebeeck Kasteel
10 Cobras took the scenic route via Wellington and Hermon, to Riebeeck Kasteel – just 130km from the meeting place on the N1. A great drive in superb weather, and a hearty breakfast at Eve’s Eatery.
Saturday 20th April – Street Rod Nationals
The Street Rod club celebrated the 18th Street Rod Nationals at Durbanville Race Track, and a good time was had by all 10 Cobra’s that attended.
Sunday 28th April – Knysna Motor Show
There were only 3 Cobras attending the Knysna show (2 from Cape Town), but by all accounts it was yet another successful event.
7th – 10th May – Simola Hill Climb – Knysna
Some of our members observed the Hill Climb – none driving! There was one Cobra in the race.
12th May – Carroll Shelby memorial drive
Unfortunately thick fog on the Cape Flats prevented some of our members joining 16 of us who drove around the southern peninsular to remember the founder of our marque. After a brunch in Kommetjie, we returned home to celebrate Mother’s Day.
